Splash & Play: Bath Lake Swimming Area

Located right in the heart of town, Bath Lake is a natural swimming hole made from dammed sections of Medicine Creek. In the summer, lifeguards are on duty, and the creek is stocked with trout in cooler months. The Bath Lake area has safe, shallow spots for young swimmers, deeper areas with waterfalls for older kids and teens, and nearby picnic tables and shaded areas for relaxing.

Fish & Turtles at Medicine Creek

Medicine Creek flows through town, and you’ll often spot families around the creek. There are turtles and ducks and fish in the water, but they’re not going to come to you for bread. They’re much wilder than that.

Bonus: The stone footbridges and stepping stones are a kid-favorite for hopping across the water!
